Always A Party

Saturday night some of our neighbors had their annual
KEGGER party... ROOT BEER THAT IS!!

Everyone brought & grilled their own meat, a side dish to share, and a gift. There was so much yummy food & of course some VERY fun friends!
We chatted & laughed & then we played BUNCO! Everyone went home with a gift & some even earned 2 gifts. It was a blast! (thanks to all those who hosted it this year)

...............................

Last Sunday night, our family prepared for Brad's first Christmas as a missionary.

My mom came up with this cute idea for each of us to make something Christmasy out of paper & then for us to write him something on the back. We are hoping that it will keep him cheerful & maybe he'll even hang things up as decor.

Please notice Scott in the background! He measured out a perfect gold star... he meant business.
AND Shalae's was one of my favorites.... it is a small replica of an old decoration that my mom has... actually probably still has. We hope it will remind him of us & home.
I loved how EVERY person participated & came up with such creative ideas.

My mom sent a bunch of extra stuff.

She wrapped 12 gifts that he'll get to open each day, the last 12 days of Christmas.
We miss Brad a ton, but we know he is in the right place right now & being blessed for all that he is doing. We think about him so much. Brad is doing great & loving his mission in Brazil.

..............................
November 1st, our friends Jill & Noah Tyler had their great Hollyween party. It was Hollywood theme this year & so much fun again.

Crystal & Steve were DEAL or NO DEAL....
and Lance & I were (a bust) Demi & Ashton. (seriously a bust... Demi is the most simple person, & Lance's hair doesn't even look like Ashtons in this picture, but it did earlier in the night)

A couple fun games that they did at the party was trying to guess parts of pictures & naming which celeb it was....

their traditional game of splitting into teams & guessing songs from movies, or t.v & etc....

AND this year, Noah added a new game.
(my favorite- I need to figure out how to put this together)
He put together parts of movie clips & when he would push pause -each team had to write the {exact} next line on our whiteboards. It was so much fun... and MY team won!

Thanks Bert & Mary Poppins!

The party looks fun!

And Scott DID mean business with his perfectly measured star. Later that night, he's all, "I don't get how girls can spend that much time scrapbooking!" He really thought scrapbooking was measuring out exact sizes and lines like he did!
