One Tag Down

Here is my first "TAG" from Amber Hansen:

7 random bits of info you may or may not know about me. ... (You may not want to know about me!)

1) Multi Tasker:
Need I say more? If so: I have mentioned I have like 4 - 5 jobs, but that's not all! When I am cleaning is when it drives me nuts!! I start making my bed, see a pair of "SOMEONES" basket ball shorts, then about 4 pairs of (age 3) high heals, ETC. It takes me about an hour to actually make my bed, or to clean a room. SERIOUSLY. I am constantly telling myself in my head to
"CONCENTRATE! One thing/area at a time."

2) Probably my worst habit:
(I really hate for anyone to know this. So please forget it after you read it!!) Ever since I was little, I have been a spitter. Not that I chew tobacco... I see water & it makes me spit, or if I am about to go outside {ALONE} I spit. I did NOT even realize how much I spit until I was talking with my sisters. One of my sisters & I realized we do this all of the time. It is really odd! I totally BLAME my dad. My mom hates my dad spitting... we all do... ????? I do not get it. Now that I know how much I do it... I am trying to catch myself before doing it. Some neighbors/best friends use to ask me "Do you think you are a boy?" HA HA.

3) TIMING:
I am always on time. I hate being late, so I am usually somewhere about 15 - 20 min. early!!
I know exactly how long it takes to get Ellie & me ready, so I am never late anywhere. I can not understand why people are always late.

4) "Frustrated Incorporated":
We have been trying for over a year now to get pregnant. Finally I made an appt. with Dr. Huish, unfortunately it is not for another 2 weeks. I made it about 4 weeks ago. OH WELL. "Good things come to those who wait". Right? AND: "TIMING is everything". Ellie will be such a good babysitter someday!!! wink.

5) Doing Laundry:
I do not hate laundry, I actually like doing laundry! I like getting stains out. {SHOUT & OXY CLEAN} I like doing laundry in one day... "Back to back loads". It saves so much time if you time it right! I hang almost everything. (I take things out after about 5 - 10 minutes so it will not shrink & then there are NO WRINKLES) Do not even ask the last time I ironed. (If something ever needs ironed, Lance is on it.) Speaking of Lance, I really dislike when he tries to be nice & tries to surprise me by doing laundry. I get so annoyed. Sounds mean, but I am very picky on the way my laundry is done (I blame my mom)... All hangers/clothing facing the same way, all color coordinated, certain buttons are buttoned, ETC.! OR when Lance leaves pens or gum in his pockets...AHH! (Still love ya Lance!)

6) Obsession:
Well, besides food & everything from
One of my biggest obsessions is RIBBON!! Love it. I could spend hours in Ribbons & Lace on Lindsay & Main. When I see a handle, an arch, ETC. I want to cover it in tons of ribbon. I have even thought about covering our fridge handle & my steering wheel in BIG knots of ribbon... I thought that might be going too far. My sisters made sure to tell me that if I ever have a son that I can not use a cute ribbon around his waist... We'll see!! Wink.

7) Favorite Places to Eat:
TOP of the list would be MAMA'S in Fountain Hills. When I attended interior design school, this awesome eatery was across the street. (I don't want to call it "fast food" since everything is made as it is ordered...not fast... Yet, also not a fancy restaurant! Mama's is Italian food (and now some Mexican food). If you are ever in Fountain Hills you have got to stop there! They make the BEST bruscetta (sp? brushetta?) ever. It is right across the street from the
HUGE fountain.
{CLOSER than Fountain Hills}: It's a toss up between COSTA VIDA & BAJIO. Depending on what flavor my tongue is craving. COSTA: Sweet Pork Salad. BAJIO: Green Chile Chicken Salad or Shrimp tacos.
Dessert: Of course...NIELSENS. If you have seen me lately, you would know what I mean! HA HA. It was such a good & bad thing that they finally reopened!!! My favorite is Vanilla custard with pineapple chunks. Lances new flavor is chocolate custard with banana chunks. YUMMY!

If you made it thru my randomness, AND you know me..... you are probably laughing really hard or rolling your eyes at one of my lies!!! (If my dad reads this, he will probably make his first comment!) Ha Ha Ha. Everyone has their goals to work on! wink.

Oh Yeah! Sorry, but since I can not remember who has been "tagged", I tag: Crystal Cummard & all my other sister in laws that I wish would blog, Jenny Grover, Miki Bailey, Michelle Yamamoto, and Angie Dunn.

You and Shae need to kick your habit of spitting! Seriously, it is weird how we don't notice we do something SO OFTEN until someone points it out...

Oh my goodness- I cannot agree more on the laundry thing! I DO NOT like when Scott tries to do the laundry! He leaves things in the dryer too long and never zips up zippers or buttons any button on a collared shirt... I'll try to remember that it's the THOUGHT that counts! ;)

I'm so glad you're on time to everything. Really helps us keep on track. NOT! (yes, I just said NOT!) But keep thinking positive thoughts and it will happen!

Alisse beat me to seriously the 3 things I was going to comment on. Recently Noah spit into the toilet before getting on it and I was like "don't do that Noah". Then it hit me that he learned it from me. Uh Oh! It is a very stupid habit. It's not like we NEED to spit, it's just so tempting when the toilet seat is up!! People probably think we are so sick. And about the laundry, DITTO. If you thought you were scoring big points when you did laundry Steve, you're WRONG!! Just let me do it, please. And about being on time, do you need sent back to Rapport to give a report on being punctual? Sometimes I do too. For some reason I cannot make it to church on time unless I've been asked to give a talk or prayer. Let's not give dad any ideas though.

Suzy Cummard said...

You two are exact.
Shae, I was totally thinking about asking if anyone had ever heard OR even better had ever been to RAPPORT. (I need a cough drop just thinking about it.)
...Me & water... I need to stop. Enough said.

Dr. Huish is the greatest!!! Good luck with that.

Hey Suzzane! you have such a cute family! How are you doing? It was lots of fun to see you on here

Shelbi Whittaker said...

Suzzane, I did go to a specialist for all of my miscariages but they couldnt tell me why it was happening. just luck I guess. 1 of them was conjoined twins, 1 was a pregnancy in my uterus and also in my tubes, 1 was a blighted ovum (which means your pregnant but not with a baby...I dont get that!) and 1 was a regular misscariage. so I honestly think it just wasnt the right time. becuase every misscariage they said..."that only happens in 1% of pregnancies" We are SO excited that we have Nellie and Cora!! after all that struggle it makes me realize it even more!! my doctor said he didnt know if we would be able to have anymore after Cora, so I feel so blessed that everything is ok with the BOTH of them (Nellie also had problems when she was born) It is fun that I have your 2 sisters in my ward, but I have only been 4 times. Alisse was in my last ward also, that was lots of fun!! she is such a cute girl!! well...its also going to be lots of fun to STOCK you!!! Ü

Suzzane, I just read your blog about trying to get pregnant. I also went to Dr. Huish during 3 of my misscariages. we had tried for 1 year before the first miscariage and he ended up putting my on Clomid, It worked within 2 months and I was pregnant. I also did clomid with Cora. So you might want to ask him about that Ü

Suzy Cummard said...

Thanks Shelbi.
Clomid {sometimes} = multiples. YIKES.
All I need to say is that my dad is an identical twin. Too many naughty stories!! HA HA

i hate when others do my laundry too. very particular what gets put in what load, dryer or line, etc... and i have a bad habit of being late too. it is so hard to stop!

That is so funny that you guys have been to Rapport! That is all my Dad talks about. He wants to send us all there and thinks it will change our lives!!

I am laughing at your #2. The same thing happens to me when I see water, especially when I turn on a faucet. I can't explain it. The sad part is I didn't notice until my HUSBAND pointed it out to me. How discusted he must have been to find that he married a spitter. Anyway- you're not alone :)

Let's talk about the matter of being on time... San Diego is coming up and I am seeing a vision of the whole family ready and standing there waiting to go to Sea World, and 2 people missing...One of the missing is doing the other missings hair. Hmm, let's make it a new goal Susan.

Alisse Baldwin said...

Just because I want Suz to do my hair so I can be "Prom-ed up" for all the Sea World tourist families doesn't mean we have to be late. Right, Suz?

Just kidding, it's Ellie who has to be all dolled up. And rightfully so! :)

Unknown said...

Remember when Suz really did doll up my hair at the last cousins trip to California? Oh the good ol days.

Ha Ha Ha that was only like 5 months ago.

(But I don't think anyone was waiting on us.)

P.S. HOW FUNNY THAT JILL'S DAD HAS BEEN TO RAPPORT. HE NEEDS TO SEND HER FOR SURE!

angiedunn said...

i definitely enjoyed this tag o' learning about suzanne. i'm totally jealous of your punctuality. i am a late person, and trying to rid the habit, but i find it VERY hard!

Suzy Cummard said...

Auburn, Who's hair am I doing is the question!!!:
A) Curling Shalae's with the straightener?
B) Blow drying or making ponys in Elle's?
C) Putting a ribbon in Roxy's? (so the girls can match)
D) Curling YOUR hair or ALISSE'S with the big curling iron ... or doing the rows of twistys with boppy pins for YOU or Alisse?
I can explain all those times! HA HA. My hair is always ugly, yet I like doing other peoples hair.

I AM DYING THAT JILLS DAD IS A RAPPORT GRAD! "LEAD. THE WORLD WILL FOLLOW". IS HE CONNECTED WITH KEITH RIGGS PLMG. OR WHAT??? HAS ANY OF YOUR SIBLINGS EVER GONE??? YOU NEED TO GO W/ NOAH. (Shalae & I went together when I was in 8th grade. My mom, dad, Auburn & her husband are all grads, too.)

Alisse Baldwin said...

I am still glad I never had to go! I know you guys say you learned a lot, but really? No thanks. I saw a couple of things Mom had to do on her last day and I would SO not enjoy that experience!

chris+amber said...

I totally relate with you on multi-tasking. It's so hard to do just one thing before starting another task. I never noticed your "spitting" habit! I laughed so hard! I will have to try Mama's sometime! It sounds delish!

Summer said...

he-he on all you funny little quirks ;)

So yes, I have a blog, and I figured you or Shalae had one. Your site is super cute- congrats there.

Hey I need to tell you what I found out about my miscarriages, I have a genetic blood thing. Have you had your blood tested?

Maybe we get the issues from the Sherwood side? he-he

abigail said...

Im not gonna lie suzanne, i think i have a bad spitting habit too! I have gotten really good at spitting while im driving and all that good stuff! I dont think i have meet another girl that can out spit me! And i dont think thats a good thing! I blame my 4 brothers for my spitting habit i guess!

Missy said...

I am gonna take a guess on your lie...spitting? J/K. I can't picture that from you!

Being on time always?

I am always 15 minutes late...I hate it! So does my fam, I always have some lame excuse too.

On your Multi-Tasking, I am the same way. I call it A.D.D Cleaning. It drives me really nutty!

We also share the OCDness of the color coordinating of the clothes in the closet thing, hangers, etc. Mark will go in and mess it up just for fun, I can't resist fixing it...I have tried to be chill with it, not working!

So when are you guys going to Sea World? Maybe your gone, hope you are all having fun!

Amanda B. said...

You Sherwood girls are hilarious. It's fun to see the relationship you guys have with eachother. Be grateful you have sisters! ;o) I have to admit that I spit too sometimes. It grosses Mason out. But I have all brothers and a dad that grew up on a ranch, so there's my excuse. That restaurant sounds delicious. I'll have to try it next time I'm down. Sad that I'm from AZ and have never even been to Ftn. Hills.
