Valentines Kids Craft Class

February 10, I had my Craft Class for kids.
VALENTINES theme!
We PARTIED & had so much fun!

Lance & I helped the kids paint their hands to make a heart card.
They turned out darling!
 The sisters:
They are so cute because the older girls help their younger sisters.
 We made LOVE banners.

I loved watching the kids make their heart chains.
I showed them different ways that they could make a heart into a chain or wreath.
Every kids got so creative!!

For our treat we made pink, heart shaped OREO's.
This picture summed up our fun night.
(taken by Kanoe)

 TONS of LOVIN' fun!

February Formal- At Last I See The Light

I am not sure why, but I got called by the stake that I am in to "direct" this 4 Stake Dance for the Mesa High kids.
It was our stakes turn to direct it.
Someone on the youth committee came up with the theme.
AT LAST I SEE THE LIGHT. (from Tangled)
I loved it.
Since I was helping put on our New Beginnings decor around the same time, I was already on a YELLOW themed party kick.
We had a few meetings with the YW Stake Presidency, and one with the youth council. Everyone was such a big help!
Here's some of our help from the night before:

(my cutest helper- Lance)

SO many lanterns - lots of balloons.

The food table...

We left the church around midnight the night before.
The next day, we came down to finish the food table & other small details.
I about freaked (along with some other people) when we saw THIS:
a hook came out of the wall. Lots of bulbs were broken.
People were scrambling to fix it & they did! (phew)

The outside of our Stake Center..

Here was where they walked into the church. It turned out so cute- thanks to Claudia Dixon!!

KJ Balls did an AMAZING job at the lights. Anyone in the area of The East Valley -Mesa- Arizona should give him a call. He was so sweet ... too sweet!!

Other decor details....
Fun D.J.!
Extra water stations...
Picture station...

The snack/food area...
(I never got a really good picture because all of the food wasn't there when I left.)
The banner says,
"At Last I See The Light".

All Yellow & White food.

Ah- look at this adorable couple! ;)
.. my parents ..

I left to eat dinner while the actual dance was going on.
I came back at the very end for clean up.
The last dance song that they played was the theme song.
It gave me chills.
The dance was a huge hit. I loved watching all the teenagers enjoying themselves. I also heard so many of them talk about how nice it was, how pretty it looked, etc. It felt good to hear that & see them having a good time.
 THEN- I finally {at last} SAW THE LIGHT. ;)
jk- I had a good time with it.
The decor was EXACTLY what I envisioned but I wasn't sure it would really turn out. BUT- ALL of it did. It was beautiful.
Thanks so much for all those that helped!!

Jan. 2012 Randoms

The girls love being MHS Little Bunnies. They were so cute & did a great job.

Sunday ... our favorite. It's FAMILY TIME.
The pic below is just one days photos.
(Steele & Charlie's 1st b-day party, my lesson, & celebrating b-days with the Sherwood side, too.

Lucy had her first SPEND the NIGHT- & it was with US! She was so cute. She always makes me happy, but also more & more baby hungry/depressed.
I love Lucy.

This simple note meant so much to me.
One Tuesday in January I came home from work, to grab Ellie & head right back to work. When I walked in our house, the first thing I noticed was the CLEAN, yummy smell. Then I noticed vacuum lines... mopped floors ... and then the note.
I read the note & started crying.
Ellie was so confused at why I was crying.
Shalae, my sister, had came to our house & cleaned up, picked up, etc.
When I asked WHY she did it- she said because "you are always doing things for others & I am trying to do more for others". HA- Shalae is always doing stuff for others. I was so grateful (and embarrassed) for the service given. I am so lucky for MY FAMILY! I love them so much.

This picture isn't really anything out of the ordinary. Ellie & the QTME gang had the younger girls come play. They made up dances, dressed up... and then Lance came home, so they lost Presley to him. She LOVES Uncle La La. (Who doesn't?)

The last day of January was very exciting!
Kanoe couldn't hold this baby girl in, no matter how hard she tried.
Baby SLOANE made her debut.
She is so sweet & Im so excited for another baby on the Cummard side.

Dana Ranch- New Beginnings 2012

ARISE AND SHINE FORTH.
That is the youth's theme for 2012.
I like it!
Beehive leaders were put in charge of the decorations for the night.
.. back in September I wanted to do black & yellow & do New BEEginnings. I was given the cute beehive cupcake pan & then the beehive dome. We stuck with the color combo- but that was about it. ha
Between our ideas & the help of PINTEREST, I think it turned out pretty cute!
